Hi! I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology and Higher Education at the University of Pennsylvania. My work encompasses several areas, including higher education, culture, organizations, work, race/class/gender, and morality. 

I use qualitative methods to study mechanisms and processes of inequality and mobility in higher education and work. A recent study, forthcoming in Social Problems, examines how the intersection of race and class shaped the moral dimension of elite college students' career choices. My work has been recognized with paper awards from the American Sociological Association and the Society for the Study of Social Problems. 

Before beginning my Ph.D., I worked as a researcher at Harvard Business School, a program analyst for Year Up, and studied North Korean defectors' civic participation with the support of a Fulbright.

I hold a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.Phil. in Education from the University of Cambridge.
